Industrial mold texturing is the process of applying pattern, grit, or decorative finishes directly onto the molding surfaces of steel or aluminum dies. This changes the aesthetic and tactile properties of the molded plastic or rubber part, while also aiding in air venting and improving mold release.
We specialize in laser welding a wide variety of tool steels, copper, aluminum, and highly challenging alloys like Beryllium Copper. This is typically used to repair worn mold edges, gates, and parting lines without inducing thermal distortion.
